Hörmann KG needed a digital contact point where Hörmann dealers and tradesmen could obtain relevant documents and information on Hörmann products. Hörmann Dealers' Forums also function as a central system, which directs users to the various third-party systems based on their access rights.
Marketing Factory has been supporting Hörmann as a client since 2002 and has since carried out various relaunches of the international Hörmann Dealers' Forums. In the past 20 years, the Dealers' Forums have been upgraded iteratively from TYPO3 version 4.5 to TYPO3 version 8.7.
Integration / API
Central registration for various applications (single sign-on) offers Hörmann dealers and tradespeople a convenient and quick way of accessing all the information, materials and resources they need. The registration based on the SAP Customer Data Cloud is an important service tool for Hörmann, with the help of which the connection to the associated dealers and craftsmen is permanently strengthened.
The central management of user data allows data security and data protection requirements to be implemented in a legally compliant manner with regard to DSGVO, GDPR and data protection guidelines and can be easily adapted to local and changing circumstances.
The content management system TYPO3 is the perfect partner in this scenario. Thanks to open interfaces, it offers all the options to seamlessly integrate such a complex feature into the dealer forums.
Integration / API
Thanks to the open interfaces provided by TYPO3 out-of-the-box, authentication via SAP Customer Data Cloud could be integrated without any significant difficulties. The implementation was based on the Web SDK provided by SAP CDC. Marketing Factory has built a corresponding TYPO3 extension for this purpose, which also allows you to easily configure dynamic parameters for countries, languages, user groups and roles.
Additional applications, such as an interactive quotation and order system or an e-shop for ordering spare parts, can be accessed within the dealer forums. Marketing Factory has implemented plugins for this purpose, which control the user's exit from the dealer forum and transfer it to the subsequent processes, including all the necessary parameters.
Deployment takes place via a development, staging and productive environment, which allows Hoermann to test new releases extensively under real conditions at any time.
