Marketing Factory has been supporting its client with its digital projects and solutions since 2010. pfm medical's TYPO3 installation comprises six websites – apart from the corporate websites, there are also subsidiaries' and project websites. The websites all focus on providing medical information, advice on medical issues, and presenting the product range.

Marketing Factory can look back on a long and varied history of projects, thanks to its long-standing partnership with its customer pfm medical. The website projects are essentially based on the properties of the TYPO3 core. We also design custom developments and concepts to meet the client's different requirements and needs.

Projects
Upgrade to TYPO3 version 11
Just in time before the end of community support for TYPO3 10, we upgraded pfm's TYPO3 installation to the current TYPO3 version 11 as part of the continuous upgrading process. pfm benefits not only from an updated technical base that will receive support until at least November 2024, but also from the fact that the upgrade took place almost entirely without using any resources at pfm.
pfm starts with Continuous Upgrading
Since May 2022, in addition to hosting, we now also manage Continuous Upgrading for pfm.
As a result, time-consuming TYPO3 upgrade projects are no longer necessary. From now on, pfm's TYPO3 installation will always be up-to-date with the latest technology. The continuous upgrades focus not only on the TYPO3 version itself, but also on all components involved beyond that, such as extensions, libraries and also frontend code.
Launch of Patient Awareness website and campaign
The Patient Awareness project includes an independent website with its own look and feel. The theme of the website is an educational campaign on breast cancer screening and treatment. The campaign initially focuses on the geographical areas of Latin America and Asia.
Upgrading the Corporate Websites to version 10.4 LTS & PIM Integration
The current TYPO3 installation underwent a technical upgrade to version 10 in 2020. In this context, the project was used to simultaneously integrate the pfm medical product catalogue via a PIM interface.
Launch of the pfm medical expert website
pfm medical expert gmbh is a new subsidiary of pfm medical ag and acts as a consultant for regulatory requirements in the market. The new website will serve as an information and contact point for the industry. As Marketing Factory already operates and maintains various company websites within a TYPO3 installation, an additional page tree was simply integrated into the existing TYPO3 environment.
Internal product catalogue
Development and implementation of an internal prototype in the form of a product catalogue for the visualisation of product data in Viamedici EPIM. The project was also used to support the subsequent introduction of PIM and improve the client's internal product data.
TYPO3 upgrade to version 8.7 LTS

In addition to some larger projects, Marketing Factory has also implemented smaller, customized solutions and concepts for pfm medical.
Relaunch & TYPO3 upgrade to version 6.2 LTS
Launch of the pfm medical Institute website
The pfm medical Institute subsidiary of pfm medical ag, which was founded in 2009, focuses on the promotion of healthcare and training in medicine, nursing care and health economics. The website is primarily used to provide information on publications and to register and award theses and scholarships.
TYPO3 upgrade to version 4.5 LTS
Relaunch of the new website based on TYPO3 version 4.3.0
Marketing Factory was contacted at the end of 2009 by an external design agency, who were looking for a partner to implement the technical part of a planned relaunch project. In their search for a digital agency with extensive experience with TYPO3, they became aware of us and contacted us. After initial meetings and briefings, MFC created a concept for the relaunch project, on the basis of which the final offer was prepared and commissioned by pfm medical ag. The new website based on TYPO3 was launched in 2010.
