Haan-based Walther-Präzision has had a new website since August 2014. The challenge for Marketing Factory was to convert the existing website, which had been online for years, into a contemporary and technologically up-to-date website. The entire information architecture, screen design and technical basis were revised for this purpose. The restructured navigation function now offers visitors to the site a more intuitive and target group-specific access to Walther-Präzision’s extensive range of solutions and products.

The use of responsive web design principles means that the new website is now also configured for mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones. The navigation structure was therefore simplified for small displays and made touch-compatible, so that visitors to the site can conveniently navigate through the product range without missing out on any functions or information.

The design of the website is based on Walther-Präzision’s corporate design. High-quality image material also improves the user experience, with the focus being on fast and targeted provision of the required content and documentation from a target group perspective.

The TYPO3 content management system is used as the technological basis for the website, which Marketing Factory configured and extended to meet the specific needs of Walther-Präzision. The online content managers who will be responsible in future for managing the content of the website were trained in TYPO3 by Marketing Factory. Marketing Factory is also responsible for hosting and the provision of technical support for the new corporate site.
