We attentively track the market of open source products relating to content management systems. TYPO3 has clearly emerged as the market leader ahead of other CMS, such as Joomla, WordPress, Drupal or Plone. According to estimations by the TYPO3 Association, the TYPO3 installation has already been downloaded over 750,000 times.
Since TYPO3 became competitive in the commercial sector in 2001/2002, we have used it as our CMS of choice for internal as well as external projects. It is with good reason that Marketing Factory is one of the leading TYPO3 agencies in Germany and has now completed an impressive number of small local, right up to large international projects.
The major benefits of TYPO3 involve its flexibility and extendibility through the use of extensions. By separating the program core – the TYPO3 core – and extensions, it is possible to individually extend the basic functionalities of the TYPO3 system installed.
TYPO3 is continually being extended and optimised by a large team of developers.
